Its the same old story, Daryl. Strip it down to cpu, one dimm, a
video card, and a diskette drive. See if it will run some tests. Add
one thing at a time until you start seeing problems. No easy way
around it unless distinct patterns have emerged that would make
a particular part a leading suspect. Before you flash all the bios,
read all the accompanying text files to see if updates promise to
fix a problem you have seen. Check all your documents' troubleshooting
sections for known issues with other parts in your system. Load
drivers one at a time and retest.

I've just spent @5K on my dream system.
Asus MBrd,PIII 500, 512MB Micron RAM, 20G HDD, 6xDVD, Teac CD burner,
3Com 10/100PCI NIC, Diamond MX300, Asus TNT AGP vid, USR 56K modem,
Logitec cordless Kb/mouse.
The darn thing locks up constantly,crashes indiscriminately, ect...
I'm running '98 and minium apps (I want to see it stable before I start
loading apps)
