I'm trying to get a tape drive to work on a
IBM clone, Pentium 150 MHz, 16 MB RAM.
So far I have tried (internal) a Colorado 350,
Ditto 800, and a Ditto 2 GB (with and without
a Ditto accelerator card). Also (external)
a Ditto 800, Ditto 2 GB, and a Sony SuperStor.
All work fine on other computers.
I have tried changing the printer port
BIOS settings between SPP and ECP.
All work for a few minutes, then the computer
"freezes" and the video goes black.
So far, the only way I have been able to back up
the hard drive (1.6 GB) on this computer is with
an external Zip drive, which works fine.
Anyone have any ideas, or is it time to replace
the motherboard?
