        Ah, the beauty of UNIX

scan first-300 -form scan.sub |grep -v -i vacation

        Every single message with the word "vacation" in any form
in the subject just disappeared.

        UNIX isn't the answer to everybody's prayers, but it sure
works great for add hock text processing problems like the little
bit of automated mayhem created by that message.
