I was under an impression that gluten contributes to the intestinal wall
damage, and once damages it would allow partially digested molecules to get
in. Also, a high carb diet would contribute to yeast overgrowth, which also
compromised intestinal wall (yeast literally growths through it), which would
then let some partially digested food get through.
