That railroad embankment is part of the Jersey City City-wide Restoration
Warehouse Register.  Also in the Register - cornices, decorative lintels,
metal fences ...

Ralph - Jersey City is indeed considering developing the underused strip of
land (historic railroad? bah, humbug) at the northernmost embankment for
rather linear housing.
