Howdy!

The usage guidelines said to introduce myself, so here I am, ever the
obedient servant. Jumped over from preservation-l (actually, straddling the
fence - might get uncomfortable). Getting kinda quiet over there.

A little background just in case anyone cares: Registered architect (NC);
Restoration Specialist (architectural conservator) with SHPO for 12 years;
based in Asheville; 10 years restoring/renovating/remodeling ca. 1922
bungalow/summer house/jackleg-framed pile of firewood.

I'm the sort of person who pulls out the piano from the wall to refinish the
floor underneath, then gets distracted restoring the piano (Trivia Word for
the Day: Wippen).

So just what is a "leaftime" and why should I feel so ill at ease from these
corporate threats?
