Sylvie, I just had a same model (revision unknown) drive installed win98SE, it
has no problem with win98 boot disk, all I did is to leave IDE in BIOS to
"AUTO". This drive is a bit slow, but should be ok to use windows driver. I have
feeling that you should double check the setting in BIOS. If your BIOS doesn't
have "AUTO" option, then you have to install its own driver, or there is a
CD-ROM driver file on Nospin web, you can use it for most CD-ROMs.
