I believe thyroid and adrenal gland extracts that are sold over the
counter in US are required by law to remove all/most of the active hormones,
which the manufacturers do. Armour is a prescription thyroid hormone
extract standardized to contain a specific amount of hormone, so it's NOT
equivalent in any sense to the over-the-counter stuff. (I believe the
original post was asking for Armour replacement).
