> ... isn't arthritis also a result of consuming foreign proteins?

Well, according to the medical establishment, arthritis is the
result of a _drug_ deficiency, manageable only with NSAIDs
or aspirin; there is no cure.

Referencing the paragraph above, it of course did *not* go away,
because the "foreign protein" hypothesis is "scientifically unproven."
So you must be deluding yourself, eh? ;->

My point with messing with your head is that none of these
theories (including the ones NeanderThin is based on) will be
"scientifically proven" until some large profit-oriented concern
can find a way to turn a buck on it. Cynical? Maybe.

Until then we all have to report our personal findings -- here
and/or on news:alt.support.diet.paleolithic -- and gather consensus;
sort of an uncontrolled, unscientific ongoing experiment. Maybe some
day an angel with megabucks and no ties to the usual vested interests
will sponsor a "respectable" trial on long-term Paleoeaters. Till then
we'll have to make do with speculation, trial and error, and the
application of the limited number of relevant studies.
