Then you might do better on a cyclic ketogenic diet (a few days
in ketosis, then for a day or two pig out on carbs, repeat).
Cyclic ketogenic diet seems to be the darling on the low carb
exercise list now (and for the last 2 or 3 years or so).

It is my pet little theory that some people don't do well on
a continuous keto diet because their thyroid levels go down
too much. (It is a well know fact that they do go down, but
that does not seem to affect most people negatively for some
reason. But, prolonged ketosis might be different for some.
It might be good to have some carbs once a week so that the
liver can convert T4 to T3).
