I know that the wild rice is not sproutable unless still in its husk (not
sure of the english word for the enveloppe of the seed) and i suspect the
commercially avalable wild rice seeds to have been treated by heat to remove
the husk (would like to be confirmed or infirmed on that )i suspect that,
because when i soak them , they split open and they seems to be too "easy"
on the instinctive barrier (the instinctive stop is not clear and i get
digestion dificulties due to overeating them ) With the seeds or grains
which are not heat treated , the taste change is clear..making overeating
dificult.
