Not much use to you I guess, since Sydney is a long way from New York City, but we can do that!  We could also abseil down ropes if it weren't possible to climb to the point you want to get to.  And we put engineers or materials specialists there to look at whatever the problem is!

Hope you find somebody closer to home!

Can someone recommend a contractor who can climb a wide but awkward
interior of a masonry & concrete pier (tight in places going up steel
structure according to Kent Diebolt who has been there already), then drill
and photograph with a boroscope the condition beyond, say to a distance of
up to 20 feet from the aperture.  My alternative is to use a power hammer
and hope to smash through.
