Solved the PS/1 & 24X CDROM. I had the hard drive and CDROM connected right
through the IDE cable. What I had failed to do was connect power cable to
the hard drive. When I found out I was getting a 1762 error I looked it up
and it was a hard drive error. Since the hard drive was installed under the
floppy disk in PS/1 I didn't notice that I didn't put it back on. Always
check all connections.
Windows 98 and the Bios recongized the drives and rem'd the drives for DOS
in Autoexec.bat. Thanks for the help before. The Sound Blaster 16 won't
recongize CDROM above a 2X.

>Thanks for the help. I'm have been headed in the right direction. I put the

>drive in the wrong order on the IDE cable?
