Elizabeth,
AMI BIOS audio code of one long and three short beeps indicates
conventional/extended memory failure; an apparent memory failure in the
first 64KB of RAM. IBM one long and three short beeps indicates Video
adapter fault. Phoenix does not list a two-part code but a three-part code
instead. All three-part codes with the first two codes being one long and
three short indicate first 64K RAM chip failure or data line failure. Hope
this helps.
