Mike,
        The screen you are seeing is for information purposes.  With the
first partition at 1 GB, NT will install and boot.  Actually, without using
third part software (Partition Magic), you can make the first partition on
the drive 4GB  formatted NTFS.  I have heard that using an NT 4 CD with
service pack 4 you can make the partition 8 GB.  I've not tried it yet.  It
has something to do with the atapi.sys file.

                As I recall, that FAT16 partition must occur somewhere
within the 1st 1024
                cylinders on the drive in order to function properly as a
boot drive and
                active partition. In short, the FAT16 partition should be in
the 1st 2 GIG
                of the drive.
