Here are the following CD-R and their compatibility:
Fuji #25301074 CD-R 6x
HP #C4403A CD-R 4x
Kodak #139-9963 CD-R 6x
Sony #CDQ74CNX CD-R 4x
Verbatim #91224 CD-R 6x
These are just the ones I could verify. Several manufacturer reps indicated
vendors
are encouraged to sell the newest line. However, I've found several older 2x
CD-R's
at most discount computer products retailers. As far as units without
spec.'s the OEM
ensures the product will work on their own line of CD recorders, but no
guarantee
on other brands. Brands such as Dysan and TDK also do not have spec.s and
are
touchy at 4x.
I try to stick with major names which actually state compatibilty.
As far as CD-RW's their doesn't seem to be an issue because of the superior
quality and tighter tolerances adhered to during production.
