at bulk catered events I stick to fruit. I'd prefer a salad but it is
too difficult to get events to remember not to put croutons or cheese
onto my salad and to leave it undressed.
I eat predominantly leafy greens and fruits, less than a cup of beans
a day and very, very limited starchy grains. I also eat raw nuts and
seeds. I basically follow the eating plan, with some tweaks, found
here: www.drfuhrman.com.
Dr Fuhrman tweaked his basic plan for me and has helped me put my
rheumatoid arthritis into complete remission without a single drug.
It's so wonderful to be pain free, not to see my joints deform and to
feel full of energy. will willingly eat like this to feel this good.
I avoided eggs and dairy very strictly as a child and then was told I
had outgrown my allergies. I ate them as a young adult with seeming
impunity.
Then my body started breaking down and the RA kept on flaring. It
turned out that while I was no longer obviously allergic my body still
reacted with systemic inflammation.
A recent research paper that I read (and now can't find) indicated
that once allergic to dairy you are always allergic to dairy and that
if you don't test allergic you will still develop diseases of
inflammation.
