debby, how does it work in baking? can you use it in recipes where you might use whip cream (like a chocolate mousse), or whipping cream, or have you tried that?
** as far as finding the stuff in health food stores, i've had a tough time w/ that, & was just told there was "some ingredient" in their products that's not really healthy. the tofutti rep told me it's tiny bits of hydrogenated oil that the healthy types object to, but it's thus far been impossible to omit from the cheese products w/o sacrificing flavor. she said they think they might've finally figured out the right way to do it, which i'm hoping might mean that more health food stores might start carrying more of the (pseudo) cheese products once they get the revised products on the market....

I'm in Northern California as well and find some Tofutti products at a
nearby health food store. They just don't seem to be widely distributed
here. Maybe if we put in specific requests at stores that carry some
products, they may try some others. I've tried Rich's Whip and don't lik=

it. It's very sweet and doesn't work well as a topping. I could see it
working as a mix-in ingredient though. We use Silk soymilk for cooking,
baking, and drinking - it works very well. I've only found that at healt=

food stores as well.=0D
