HI all-
I have been monitoring the list but I have not written in lately and I just
wanted to let you know what was going on with me. Last time I wrote you I
metioned that my doc had diagnosied me with degenraitive joint disease (DJD)
in January and a month later irritable bowl syndrome (IBS) and genral anxiety
disorder (GAD) and that at the appointement where he diagnosed me with
IBS/GAD we also found that my blood presure was kind of high(177/92)--This
was on the 22 of Feb. He told me to come back in 2 weeks which I did on the
7th of march.
Now rember I am 21. And high blood pressure dosn;t run in the family. And
since December have lost almost 20 pounds.
At the appointment on the 7th of March my BP was even higher and they again
checked my BP mutiple times. In fact in my left arm it was like 200/100.
And in the right it was a bit lower like 170/9x. So now we are in the
process of trying to find out just what is causing this to be so high. They
also checked it in my thigh but they did not get an accurate reading
(140/palp) so we are going to do that agin next time again.
Among the possiblities that the doc metioned were a partly blocked aorta,
kidney stone/s, or the cortizone level being messed up for starters. So he
checked the pulses in my legs --to rule rule out an accute problem with the
aorta-- and ordered a cortizone level and so I am to return in 2 weeks. He
wanted to run the cortizone level first because "that is easy to fix and
ditect" before we start in on ultrasound and other imiging studies.
Hopefully it will just be a problem with the cortizone levels. Anyway I go
back in 2 weeks.
Meenwhile I just take one day at a time one hour at a time as I have done my
whole life.
Just thought I would let you all know.
Anee
