Thanks for the level comment. The two lists, PL & BP, serve different
functions for a cross-over culture within the preservation industry. Your
comment that BP is freewheeling is appropriate, the emphasis is to flesh out
the character of *people* and to build relationships. As to "spam", it is an
issue of perspective. For some of us the best business comes from depth of
trust relationships. The fact that we have made fools of ourselves in play
and survived tends to cultivate a strong sense of trust in each other. In
another respect, I have more faith in the quality of the serious information
that I receive on BP than on PL simply for the fact that I have extenuating
information on the source that gives the information context. On PL you may
get a response to a technical question, but my concern is in the relevance of
the information and veracity as to the experience of the source.
