          Dear Bullamanka-Pinheads,

It is a good thing Estelle and Linda do not know
          what you're saying about them.

I want to report that the dehumidifier is
taking a lot of water out of the air.

This is the new Whirlpool dehumidifier that
my cousins and I bought for the basement.
(My cousins Linda and Estelle and I inherited
          the house from our grandmother.)

We are emptying the bucket more than once a day.
Each emptying is 24 pints of water!

Later, we will move the dehumidifier, and
fit it with a hose to self-drain.

Estelle thinks maybe the dehumidifier is taking
moisture out of all the things stored in the
          basement, too.

We do not want a "dropped" ceiling in the basement!
We removed the old dropped ceiling when we got the house.
          None of us liked it.

The tiles were dirty and stained, and the whole
          thing sagged in places.
It was only fifteen years old, and already ugly
          and worn out.
          It partly blocked the windows.
It made the ceiling too low for comfort.

All of us are taller than our grandmother was.

                                       Very truly yours,
