John:
Always a challenge, this parking ... especially tough in historic commercial
districts, where parking can be tight. Have the interested folks tried for a
off-street parking variance? Has there been a town-wide parking study of
available space and needs? -- maybe there's some wiggle room there. What kind
of use is planned (since parking requirements are often keyed to use). Is
there another use that would require fewer spaces? But they may have worked
this through already ... just a thought.
