Thanks for the information. I downloaded the driver read what I should then
thought I've already done this. Without running the old CDROM 2X before , I
thought I better put it back in sure enough when the computer was turned
the power light came on and I was able to push eject to slide out the tray.
The Acer CDROM, when installed the power light just came on for a brief
moment. I tried to eject the tray ( before drivers installed) the tray only
came half way out. When I pulled the tray it came right out. Is there an
easy way to fix this? I think the drive is toast. Next time I will try to
eject the tray first - lesson learn't. Now looking for another CDROM drive.
