I received the following query about the repair of a gravestone in
Virginia:
> I just found an old family plot on my land. One headstone is broken into
> several pieces. I would very much like to repair this stone. One break
> is new - shows bright silvery gray, almost a layered look. Granite?
> Stone is from 1848.
>
> Location is Pittsylvania County, Virginia. ( South Central )
>
> This stone needs to be put back like a jigsaw as, while there are only 3
> large pieces, there are several small ones.
>
> Would you have any suggestions as to what type of adhesive I might use?
> Is it even feasible?
>
> I would appreciate any advice you might be able to provide.
