The question here is whether gluten damages the intestines of
*cows*, who are natural grass-eaters.

Also, even in humans the "partially digested molecules" of gluten
are in fact no longer gluten but smaller polypeptides that are,
according to Reichelt and others, opioid in nature.  But it's not
clear that the gluten is only partially digested when cows eat
it.  I would be very interested to learn whether actual gluten
molecules are found embedded in beef.
