In that case your thyroid is well and truly burnt out, dead and buried.
Don't stop the thyroxine again. Years ago, before sensitive thyroid tests
were readily available, quite a few people were put on thyroxine for
symptomatic reasons quite unnecessarily. They come off their thyroxine
slowly, and the thyroid comes back to life quickly. You're not in tha
category. A lady I know was in intensive care with septicaemia- she was
going well, but after 10 days mysteriously deteriorated- the reason was
they'd forgotten her thyroxine! Some thyroxine is essential for life. Don't
bother trying any hocus pocus to boost your thyroid, it's a waste of time.
