I personally have never yet soaked nuts. Is it natural? One could
conclude of course that a nut on the ground or in the soil is
already soaked (from rain or soil moisture or both) and thus in the
process of sprouting and hence "safe". I myself only eat the nuts
from my own trees (I can trust them and know they are not sprayed)
and only shortly before or shortly after they have fallen off. I
compost the trees well in spring and cut them well back in the
autumn/fall and the nuts are DEEEELICIOUS. Can't comment on almonds
though as I only have two hazlenuts and one chestnut tree.
