Just thought I would throw out an interesting
experience I have had related to eating what normal
people eat.
While I have lost 26 lbs. eating the paleo way, I
still sometimes feel "deprived" and abnormal that I
cannot eat what others do. When my DH and I went to a
movie the other night, I had some popcorn (okay, quite
a bit of popcorn, it was my favorite snack ;-) ).
By the time the movie was over, my sinuses were very
congested and I had a headache. Gastro-intestinal
problems were apparent the next day (I will spare you
the gory details). ***To me***, this is the perfect
reason ***not*** to eat stuff that normal people do.
I would much rather go without than feel the way I
did. I don't see the sense in subjecting my body to
that just so I can feel "normal". It was a good
lesson for me as I have been craving all kinds of food
that are no-no's in this WOE.
Just my little observation in my corner of the
universe.
Jane
