Discovery Channel or one of those recently showed wolves bringing down a
large animal (forget which kind). Basically, they kept biting it until
it lost so much blood it was exhausted and fell down, and then proceeded
to begin dining while the poor beast lay there alive but helpless. It
was not a pleasant thing to see. The big cats are powerful enough to
dispatch smaller game like antelope with one bite, but even one of them
would probably have a harder time with something the size of a moose.
