Seeds all contain high levels of antinutrients, eg protease inhibitors,
lectins etc- that's how they cause disease. There's no point giving up soy
and wheat and potatoes (all packed with antinutrients), if you're going to
top up with seed oils that probably contain these things.
Although one can argue whether or not paleo people cooked in oils, there
were some oils they consumed as part of their normal diet. IMHO the only
palosher (paleo kosher) oils are olive (oil which is from the body of the
fruit, not the seed) and animal
oils such as dripping, bacon fat and fish oil .
I even avoid nuts (eg almonds) because of concerns that they may contain
protease inhibitors and lectins- any information on this would be
appreciated. (even though I'm sure nuts were a traditional paleo food).
