May I recommend a book to both you and Karen?
Susan Weed wrote, "The Menopausal Years,"
about alternative approaches to The Change of
Life. Susan is an herbalist, and her book became
my "bible" while I was going through The Change.
If you want to avoid hormone replacement therapy,
and even surgery in some cases, this book is
full of information that can help. And it should
qualify as "Paleo" too, as our ancestors relied on
the plants and herbs for hundreds of thousands
of years.
