The title of the book is actually:
"A Natural History of Rape : Biological Bases of Sexual Coercion"
My apologies for stating the title incorrectly as "Born to Rape" (I read an
article about the book by that name and confused it with the name of the
book.)
The authors are
Randy Thornhill
Regents' Professor and Professor of Biology at the University of New Mexico
and
Craig T. Palmer
Instructor of Anthropology at the University of Colorado.
I've read some harsh critical reviews of the book but then I can hardly
imagine a theory like this not attracting a lot of heat. The authors are
accused among other things of overlooking child rape and rape of the
elderly, which are not so easily explained by natural selection.
