A favorite quote of mine is: "If a million people believe a foolish thing,
it's a foolish thing." I forgot who said that. In other words, just b/c
all the weight loss gurus say high carbs is good for fat loss, it doesn't
mean we have to believe them.

And this can be said true of any field. In weight training, everyone knows
that Weider's volume method is worthless; in only works for those who are
chemically enhanced. So, I went with HIT (which is endorsed by very few
professionals). Another example, in the field of health, we can listen to
mainstream medical professionals (who know next to nothing of health) or we
can read about paleo and orthomolecular medicine.

I don't think it's a very good excuse to say, "Well, it's what I was told to
do, so it's not my fault." There's all sorts of fat loss info out there.
Some of its good, and some of it is marketing hype and b.s. It's the job of
the reader to decide what info to take action on. And the good thing about
it, if you make the wrong choice, u can always change your mind (I do it
everyday). We are responsible for our own decisions.
