I work for a cable company that is using cable modems. There is NO reason it
will not work, but for faster service you may need to purchase addition IPs
and a multiuser modem. We have both and I myself am running two computers
with a sungle user modem and a single IP address. The "server" computer (a
Pent 200) is running with Proxy Plus. The second computer is a 486-100. The
only noticable delay is the initial "Finding web site" Once the proxy starts
passing, all is well.
