Jerry..
I have the Sony Vaio..with the P11 333, win98. It was slow as molasses,
blue screening like crazy(if it even booted up!) the dvd was throwing
illegals and the machine was overall generally unacceptable. No, worse..
it was garbage!! I wrote Sony a nasty e-gram and got a response to call
the "support manager" on duty. I called and that person as well as
others were in a meeting and I was offered a call back, which I
accepted. The tech asked if he could help and possibly answer any
questions. With nothing to loose, I accepted. I told him of the
problems. We worked on the laptop for about 20 Min.and fixed
EVERYTHING!! I do not remember all of the details, but all I can say is
that it is like a whole new machine, runs great and I now like it very
much. Obviously ALL of these machines need a little "tweaking"
Considering that yours is a 366 it's probably still under warranty, so..
make that call! oh yeah, ask for a "level 2" tech.
Good luck
