A while ago, I left a voice message at my ISP asking whether my service was
going to improve after they made a recent series of upgrades and
improvements a few months ago that ruined what had been a nearly flawless
service before the changes. I got the following response in an email
message:

we are putting a new server on in July that supports Lucent Technology
chipsets better than US Robotics

I have the most recent USR V.90 internal 56K modem. Can someone explain
what he means by that statement?
