Hello Edna,
I usually take a push-pin, or other pointed object, and push the plug
out of the "solid" receptacle from the back. You can then plug it in
any way that you want. If you have documentation with the new
motherboard, or can get it on the Web, so much the better.
If the keyboard is locked when you crank it up, reverse the connector.
