Fellow Hunter Gatherers,

Has anyone ever made a bad batch of pemmican?
I made one yesterday that was terrible. I think it is because I used
drippings from ground beef. I usually get fat trimmings from my
butcher, render, strain, and make pemmican. Recently, I have been
collecting my drippings from making hamburgers, meatballs, etc. (all
paleo, of course) The pemmican has an odor and taste it never has
before. I guess I'll go back to getting my fat from the butcher.

Rob
