Gramps' knee may be too far gone, but his other painful joints might
benefit. Why not give him the low fat, high carb paleodiet- fish (not meat
as fish oils are more antiinflammatory, and fish aren't hyperfattened by
being grain-fed), fruit and veges.

I had marked heel pain syndrome ("painful spur" is the well known mismoner)
for 2 years plus. It went away after 2 weeks on a paleodiet ncluding meat,
fish fruit veg. It comes back mildly if I have bread, rice or nuts when
dining with friends. My analgesic dependent chronic daily headaches
diappeared even more quickly.
