I have been a member of this list for a few weeks, but it is the first time
I write in. After extensive reading and observation of this group, I
decided I want to eat Paleo. I also discussed it with my doctor, but I
don't think he took me seriously. That's another story.

I am hoping to get some advice about making my transition into the Paleo
Lifestyle easier. Aside from the challenge of shifting eating paradigms, I
am also faced with constant travel, which inhibits me from shopping for
groceries or cooking for myself.

So here are my questions:
1. Will my traveling make things extra difficult?

2. Is it easier to make the change gradually or to switch cold turkey?

3. Are vitamin supplements necessary? Is it OK if I take them for peace of
mind?

4. Starchy fruits and vegetables? Where can I get a more extensive list of
such things to avoid? I know about the rule of thumb: If you have to cook
it for it to taste good, then you should not eat it. But there are a lot of
vegetables that I have never tried raw. For example, zucchini or squash.
Are they starchy?

5. Should I expect any weird side effects?

That is it for now, but I am sure I'll have more later.
