Kim,

I know your looking for homeschooling links - I put a bunch months
ago on the CPParent. If you're on that list then you know its for parents of
kid with CP and some of them homeschool. If you're not aware .... I can give
the homepage so you can join and then access the achrives - if you don't
want to do that I need to retrieve them for someone else.I have friends who
homeschool for one reason or another.

Amber has always been mainstreamed and altho we have had
incidents on the whole with our school system awareness meant they
occassional went to far the other way. The 6th grade family life section
showed the kids a film on CP and Amber worse detractor came up and
apologize. WE certainly aren't going to be visible and be able to educate
the public or be accepted if hide at home. On the other hand not everyone is
able to take the heat that being an advocate for something means you run
into. Amber bless her - has been a trooper on educating people on her CP and
raising money for children who have other illness like Muscular Dystrophy.
How well our kids make it in life is a reflection of our ability to handle
reality. Do remember that beliefs are a self fullfilling prophecies. If you
are looking for evil - you will find it. If you look for good you will find
it. Because what you put out - is what you get back.

I learned about being different when I can to this country and
started school - I came from Germany, and it was automatically assumed I was
a Nazi and the kids and some of the teacher were vile - I was carefully kept
apart. I am German solely because Hitler took over my mother country and
made everyone German. After the War and they fled the communist east and
guess where they ended up. So guess what I was born - a German child one of
those endless love babies American GI's litter the world with. Each and
everyone one of us is different and we need to learn to celebrate this and
help the other guy.

                                    Brightest Blessing
