My first impulse would be "drop the shake" and get
your protein from real food. However, I agree that
sometimes you have to "eat and run" and it's very
convenient to take nourishment in liquid form. So, I'd
also be interested in what might be available. Here's
some possibilities I've come up with:

Raw eggs? I've read you can kill salmonella by boiling
for as little as 1 minute. Maybe the egg would still
be mixable. Certainly at least blendable.

Dessicated liver? Comes in powder form. Jack LaLanne
originally made it very popular for protein drinks.
Lots of other nutrients, too.

I've seen meat, egg and milk based powders. They might
have some that drop the milk and/or egg because of
potential allergic reactions.

Last resort: Dan Akroyd's Bass-O-Matic?
