What insects would Hunter Gatherers have been likely to eat?

I am thinking of the Nez Perce and other tribes who were living along the
Columbia River.

Or, any other HG tribe.

Does anyone know? And are any modern day paleo or raw fooders including
insects in their diet?

On a different topic, does anyone know the composition of bone marrow?
