Larry:
As one who spent endless nighttime (and daytime) hours walking a huge (born
at 10lbs), squalling, miserable infant around for the first few months of his
life, I remember that I feared having to live with such a lousy personality
for the next 20 years. However, that child evolved into something at the
opposite end of the personality scale -- although at 6'+ with the muscles of
a Giant's linebacker he is still huge, my nickname for him is FB (Fluffy
Bunny). Sensitive, loving, full of life. I am very fortunate that I didn't
kill him after all.
My older son was the opposite: sweet from the beginning and has remained so
(although I admit the years from 13 - 18 were sometimes tough). So I guess
I've seen both types.
I still remember the nighttime walks, however -- they were the worst. I felt
like my life was falling apart!
