                Speaking of black holes and smoke, we just had a large
meteor blast down 4th Avenue here in Whitehorse, lighting up the still dark
skies with a brilliant blue-white glare that lasted 3-4 seconds. Evidently
the whole town stopped as everyone got out of their cars to look at the
still distinct contrail slowly drifting northwards. As I was reviewing my BP
messages, I didn't notice a thing.
