Denise, you hit the nail on the head (at least on my head).
There was nothing I did or didn't do to cause my son's cp. He
was born with it and his twin wasn't. That doesn't stop me
from feeling like my body's at fault, it let him down, it didn't
supply the blood to his developing brain, ergo it's my fault.
recognizing the source of my anger and resentment toward the
disability does help to mitigate it. I'm glad you and your
mom are healing your relationship.
