Thanks for advice. That could have been part of my problem too! The
computer that I took the 850 MB Seagate HDD out of is an old Packard Bell
486. For some reason the HDD was configured as a Master with a Slave
present. Eventually I changed it to Master without slave. Both computers
have a CD-ROM.Can the CD-ROM drive be considered a slave or does it have to
be a HDD; or is this something that Packard Bell does that is different
from everybody else?

>Make sure that its jumper switched to Master
