You should only use the nVidia driver 2.08 from www.nvidia.com.

If you are already using it, the only thing left is hardware. There are two
things you should check wiht:
1) I know some cheap card makers do things strange. The Vanta card may not
compatible with nVidia Reference driver (eg. my Banshee card from Skywell). If
this is the case, you can only change the video card to solve it.
2) There may be conflict between Video card and other hardware. I had a similar
problem before (with a friend), unless I load sound card (come with ISIS audio
studio package) driver and sound manager software both correctly, I couldn't
make a TNT2 M64 card work. But after I solved the conflict, they both work
perfect.
