I have just purchased the above mentioned card from the used market and am
having trouble after installing the full duplex drivers. Card installation
went find with the drivers included on the win95 cd-rom, however after
installing the full duplex drivers the computer fails to enter windows,
stopping while still in text mode with the message "windows protection
fault, please reboot" I have attempted to remove the drivers (both new and
the first ones) to no avail, everytime I try to boot with the card in there
and the drivers installed the computer fails to start. I believe that there
is some conflict occuring but I am at a loss as to what it might be. The
only other devices in this system are a Matrox Mystique PCI video card
(using IRQ 11), the onboard ECP port (using DMA 3, IRQ 7), onboard COM1,
COM2 and a USR modem on COM4 all using standard addresses and IRQ settings,
and finally an NE2000 compatible network card, currently set to IRQ10, I/O
260. The network card seemed to conflict on it's original address of 320
with the sound card, the reason I changed it to the more non standard 260.
It now works fine, but the sound card still doesn't. I thank you in advance
for any help. (Aren't computers fun! :( ) TTYL
