Except for my CPU (AMD 486-100), the cooling fan, the CD-ROM and the
case/power supply;
everything in my machine is used (possilbly even THIRD-hand). The only real
problem is
finding the drivers for some of the components. But I'm also running WIN98
so most of the
drivers are built into the OS or are on the CD. I've also been playing with
computers for over
twenty years so I'm not afraid to open 'er up and get a jolt from the AC
(fear not).
If you have a primary machine (new) and a secondary (older), play with the
older one. Hands-on
learning is the best and most fun.
